The following process can be used to create a Windows environment on a machine that is otherwise incompatible or to complex to configure for DOD PKI required sites.
We’ll walk you through the following steps:
- Download and install Oracle VM Virtualbox
- Download Windows 10 installation media
- Run Windows 10 installation media creation tool to create a Windows 10 ISO
- Create a Windows 10 virtual machine inside Virtualbox
- Download, install, and run InstallRoot on the VM to install DOD Certificates
